Hurricane Katrina landed close to New Orleans and Gulfport on the morning of August 29, 2005. Great destruction.
It had earlier been projected to hit Panama City but it veered to the west and missed us. However, even though we were
far away, the outer bands got to us. The waters breached our sea wall and the winds tore down limbs from our trees.
Otherwise we were ok.

Our favorite alligator was checking out Katrina |

On the morning Hurricane Katrina hit, Laurie and I went to our St. Andrews State Park, a very short distance from
us, to check out what was happening. The sea was furious and the wildlife confused....we decided to try to capture some
of the feeling....
