Beautiful Charleston Lake can be found near Lansdowne, Ontario, Canada. The lake is located in Eastern Ontario, Canada, near the St. Lawrence River. The lake is approximately 9 miles long and about 4 miles wide at its widest point. Its abundance of islands, coves, cliffs and interesting shoreline make it one of the prettiest lakes in all of Ontario.  The lake is unusual in that it is very deep, being over 450 feet at some points. Charleston Lake Provincial Park, one of the nicest in Canada, surrounds a portion of the lake.  For more information about the park, go to the links page on the left side of this page.

Our family has owned The Cottage since 1962.

Premiere Charleston Lake Photographers!
As anyone can see, I love photography and have been making pictures since I worked on my Boy Scout Photography Merit Badge, too many years ago.  As a result, I truly appreciate great photography of others.  I hope to make it possible to share the work of other photographers around Charleston Lake.
The first two featured are Sharon Gagne on the right and Charles Ryan on the left, both of whom have good eyes for the right scenes and the unique ability to capture them.
(click on either of their pictures to see their photos and to learn a little something about their backgrounds.)

If you know of others on the lake who should be included, please let us know at:

After you have looked at the pictues on this page, you might click on button above Charles Ryan see photos of The Cottage Garden or the one above Sharon Gauge to see The Cottage in the Winter.  Those and all other pictures on this site are taken by Laurie or Cicero, unless otherwise noted.
